From its trails and high points, sweeping panoramic views open up over the Berrueza and Valdega valleys—one of the municipality’s most recognizable features.

Traditional trails connect the town center with these natural areas and lead to unique sites such as the Portillo de Ancín archaeological site and the medieval road, carved into the rock, which has now become one of the most distinctive places for understanding the relationship between geography, transportation, and historical settlement.

The Church of Santa María, with its imposing presence and dimensions unusual for the area, dominates the townscape and houses one of the most outstanding major altarpieces in the region, alongside the venerated carving of the Holy Christ.
