Úgar is a small village in the central part of the Yerri Valley, very close to the Alloz Reservoir. During the winter, life there moves at a leisurely pace, but on weekends—and especially in the summer—the village comes alive with the arrival of visitors. A trail leads directly from the village to the shore of the reservoir, a popular spot for swimming and relaxing in the sun.

The village retains an identity shaped by its traditional architecture. The parish church of San Martín de Tours dominates the townscape and stands alongside old houses and buildings bearing coats of arms that speak to its historical past.
