Murillo de Yerri/Murelu is a small village in the Yerri Valley, situated along the Iranzu River and very close to Arizala. Surrounded by farmland and local roads, it retains the serene character of villages that have managed to preserve their intimate scale, their identity, and a close connection to their surroundings.

The agricultural landscape is an essential part of the experience and helps visitors understand the historical connection between the village and working the land, in a valley where rural life remains very much alive.

The center of the village is dominated by the parish church of San Esteban, a medieval building notable for its elegant Gothic façade and a remarkable Renaissance altarpiece. Surrounding it are 16th- and 17th-century stone houses, some bearing coats of arms, which evoke a past steeped in history and a certain defensive character.

The Santa Bárbara Chapel rounds out the village’s heritage and keeps alive the connection between folk tradition, the landscape, and collective memory.
