Más información

Arizaleta/Aritzaleta is one of those small villages that surprise you with all they have to offer. Located on the slopes of Mount Legarra, north of the Yerri Valley, this former royal manor sits in a privileged location offering sweeping views of the valley, nestled between the Sierra de Andía and the Irantzu area.

The village retains the human scale and serene character of places where time moves slowly. Houses bearing coats of arms, a 16th-century palace, and the church that dominates the hamlet serve as reminders of the village’s historical importance within the valley. Although it has few residents today, on weekends and in the summer it regains some of its vitality thanks to those who return seeking to reconnect with the landscape, their memories, and the tranquility.

The most distinctive feature of Arizaleta/Aritzaleta, however, is its medieval ice house, one of the most notable in Navarre. The circular trail leading to it winds through oak groves, pine forests, and open pasturelands on an accessible route that combines nature, history, and cultural heritage.
