Route 29. Piquillo Pepper Route in Lodosa

We start the route from the municipal swimming pools of Lodosa. We head towards the River Ebro and the Ebro Nature Trail (GR-99). We follow the Ebro riverbank eastwards and, before reaching the NA-6220 road bridge, we come across the natural monument of the Lodosa poplars, made up of nineteen old and large specimens that have earned this natural protection.

We then cross the bridge and take a track on the right that runs parallel to the river towards Alcanadre. Further on, we pass by the hermitage of San Emeterio and San Celedonio, until we reach the beginning of the Lodosa canal. At this point, we change direction to follow the canal for about 150 m and then return along a track through the market gardens until we come back out at the hermitage. Finally, we take the same path we followed earlier, but in the opposite direction, to return to the swimming pools of Lodosa.
