Route 13. San Gregorio from Los Arcos

The circular route starts at the Casa de Cultura in Los Arcos, sharing the initial section with the Zobazo route as far as the area near the Hermitage of El Calvario. At this point, we continue along the track and move away from Los Arcos on the GR 1, heading towards the Sierra de Cóbrega. After passing beside the Hermitage of Santa Teodosia, we leave the GR and head towards the village of Desojo. After about 3 km, we turn right and climb the southern slope to the heights of the Sierra de Cóbrega, then descend on the opposite slope to the village of Ubago.

In Ubago, we head towards Cóbrega, where we can make a detour to visit the Cóbrega Holm Oak Natural Monument. We continue towards Sorlada and climb again until we reach the Basilica of San Gregorio Ostiense. Afterwards, heading south, we descend along tracks and paths until we come out onto the Way of St James, which takes us back to Los Arcos.
